She is a dear friend of mine and we've know each other for a very long time (I posted a pic here as proof!- -She is the beautiful blond and I am the one with the dancing figurine atop my dome)

If you would like a daily dose of all things beautiful go to her blog @ http://simpleblueprint.typepad.com/

O o o, check out my old website!
http://www.protrigga.com/design/annamoller/

My friend, Bela did it back in the day and it just thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Actually, it got a slot in TASCHEN's best Web Design:Portfolio book in 2004 .

Glad it still has a home on the the world wide web.

One ends, one begins

"A Portrait of Love"
Connected by the nature of things.
Do you feel it resonating?
Do you feel what I mean?

I took this in Fort Greene park last weekend.
It's a portrait of my friend Emily and her son Tai.

The beauty of sole survivors. Mother in foreground. And son close behind...

"The Tides" or "The Little Rooster and The Continental Divide" or "The Little Rooster That Could"

There is a photograph in my portfolio of a young bird.
He is standing lonely as they come
waiting on the world.

I took this photo Halloween of this year, with no one around.
No parents. No pretense. no structure. no divide.
the bird looked up at me, with staged, clear eyes. Guarded but secure. Ambivalent. Defined.
In one shot, I saw his reasoning.
In one shot I saw his sign.

Yesterday I received an email stating this:

"...in checking out your website saw a photo of my son "Reed". We nicknamed him Reedy the Rooster for his consistent ability to wake us every morning and dressed him as a rooster for halloween this year."

I thought 'how brilliant- how perfect. what a world so small'
When one figure confronts us, the other will feel the pull.

The winged things

Photo of wings are courtesy of Madeleine Moller- 2009

I just keep my memories close because thats where they like to sit, in a holster in my side pocket, in the space between my tattered jeans and sturdy hip.
